I initially stayed away from meme coins because I knew I could be impulsive. However, my interest grew after following CaptainNGMI, who shared both his wins and losses and often made good calls.

On his recommendation, I invested in the meme coin RET, a project centered around AI and a robotic dog. It seemed promising, so I went in with 2.5 SOL. Later, I noticed more messages in the Telegram group mentioning that the developer was unreachable. Eventually, the dev posted again, making it seem like everything was fine.

He even shared a picture of a large box, claiming he had purchased a second robotic dog. But then someone in the community pointed out that the box was actually for a gaming chair. Things went downhill fast, and I lost my investment.

I don’t blame CaptainNGMI at all—I knew what I was getting into. But it was hard to believe that such a promising project turned out to be a rug pull. It lasted quite a while before collapsing.

After that, I invested in a few smaller meme coins, but most of them ended up being rug pulls as well. Luckily, I only put in small amounts and acted impulsively.

I did manage to get my initial investment back from a Trump-themed meme coin.

Other than that, I haven’t experienced much, mainly because I haven’t been in the space for long. But I do find the meme coin world fascinating.

Oh boy, i felt bad about it, i was really hyped up about that RET project. It ticked all the narritives, it had AI, it was a dog, it was a robot, it launched his own token based on him learning about the big memecoins, and it was responding automatically through ai managing his own twitteraccount.

Also i was already very cautious about things because i already learned from earlier mistakes! But this one felt different, the way the dev was communicating, also the fact he did real life promo on the project, flyers, stickers, also he said he was in conversation with some companies, one would deliver a humanoid robot, where the setup would be that RET would transfer from the dog to the humanoid, but the dog would stay and they would interact with eachother, deciding stuff and so on…

but then the photo with the big box was posted, the community thinking it was the delivery of the humanoid… but someone noticed a name or a logo on the box… stating it wasnt even close to the humanoid but being a gaming share. It rugged instantly… i was big in profit, but never took profit… cause i was really in believe this would be a big hit. so that vapourised…

the dev deleted his x… funny thing is i had notifications on, and one day like few weeks after, suddenly the account was back up, him posting he was sorry about what happened, but that he could explain… him mentioning he would try get back the tg and do things right… after him not getting back the tg, he went launching a new token based on the same robot… rugging that one within half an hour after he launched it… guess he was out of money… i dont understand… this could’ve made him a lot more money if he just worked for his bags and formed a community

When i was new to the meme coin space i had no clue about rug pulls and scams and believe me i learned about them fast. its just been an up hill battle trying to make profit. the worse part is i know under my own power its possible but not when im constantly getting scammed. i have come to learn that even the elites in this game deal with the same problems. im so happy to have a platform like RUGX to help sift through the scams and am excited to use them in the future
